Removing Wax from Carpet
Removing wax from clothes can be tricky. However, with the right know-how and the proper tools, you will be able to remove such stains from different kinds of fabric quite easily.
Start by scraping as much of the wax as you can. Use a dull knife to do this so you will not end making a tear or hole on the material underneath. Next, place a sheet of butcher paper, with the glossy side up, on top of the stained portion. If you already have some used brown paper bags, you can utilise a portion of it instead.
Then, press the tip of a warm iron gently over the affected area. This will make the wax melt and stick to the paper. Gently lift the latter from the fabric as it cools. Once this is done, dab a small amount of denatured alcohol onto the stain. Only do so if any candle dye remains on the cloth. The last step would be to sponge the fabric with water and proceed to washing it as usual.
